In April, a team of mechanical engineers from Fishbeck traveled to Germantown, Wisconsin to visit the Desert Aire factory. The one-day trip to Desert Aire’s 100,000 square foot facility provided the opportunity for valuable research on how dehumidifiers are manufactured.
The tour began with a tour of facilities, where the engineers had the chance to see key production areas with dehumidifiers in various stages of production.

Desert Aire leadership hosted a breakout Q&A session. This was a chance for the engineers to bring up dehumidification related questions they’ve come across in the past, but also an opportunity for them to share their insights about the market. The new product development team was on hand to gather feedback and incorporate it into future plans.
The trip concluded with a training session on natatorium design, which provided continuing education hours. The training session was specially tailored towards the projects that Fishbeck has coming up.
Until next time!
And remember, don’t let the dew point get you down.
